From development handoff to stable, compliant production.
Most product launches and transfers do not fail on engineering. They slip at the handoffs: between development and manufacturing, between sites, between a company and its suppliers. I lead those handoffs so products reach stable, compliant production on schedule.
Where I help
- NPI portfolio prioritization and stage-gate governance
- Design transfer and manufacturing readiness
- Site-to-site, supplier and contract manufacturer transfers
- Validation and regulatory change planning alongside Quality and Regulatory
- Supply chain readiness, bridge inventory and launch planning
- External partner management and cross-functional governance
My approach
Readiness criteria are agreed early and in writing, so “done” means the same thing to R&D, Operations, Quality and Commercial. One integrated plan covers every function, gate reviews are risk-based rather than ceremonial, and launch is measured by stable supply and yield, not just the first shipment.
Experience
I have led global NPI portfolios, product transfers and commercialization in medical device manufacturing, coordinating across a global network of manufacturing sites, suppliers and partners.
Common questions
When should we bring in transfer support?
As early as possible, ideally while scope and timelines are still being set. Problems found at validation are far more expensive than problems found at planning. Start with this product transfer checklist.
Can you manage a transfer to a contract manufacturer?
Yes. External partner management, from readiness assessment to handover, is a core part of the work.
